On March 3, the 15th ALMA Public Lecture titled “From Black Hole to the Mysteries of Planets – Shape of the Space Explored by ALMA” was held in the Nara Centennial Hall. In this event, two lectures were given: “Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune” by Seiichi Sakamoto (Associate Professor at ALMA-J Project Office); and “Unveiling the Mysterious Black Hole” by Yasuo Fukui (Professor at Nagoya University). The hall was almost filled with the capacity crowd of 100. The picture shows Professor Fukui and Associate Professor Sakamoto answering the questions from the audience. They talked passionately about how they became an astronomer. After the lecture, there was an autograph session with the lecturers.
