The 1st East Asia ALMA Science Advisory Committee was held at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan with the committee members and observers from Japan and Taiwan. In the Committee, Satoshi Yamamoto, Professor at the University of Tokyo was elected as Chair of the Committee for the three-year term, and Masanao Nakai, Professor at Ibaraki University and Jeremy Lim, Associate Research Fellow at Academia Sinica Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics (ASIAA) were elected as Vice Chairs. The Committee discussed the roles of the Program Review Committee and East Asia ALMA Regional Center (tentative name), and reconfirmed the importance of the Science Working Group activities. Also, the committee confirmed its basic stance of welcoming the future participation of observers from China and South Korea.
