Since Chile (the construction site of ALMA) participates in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the ALMA staff members in Santiago are glued to the TV screen when a match is on. Of the 32 countries participating in the World Cup, twelve of them are the member countries of the ALMA Project. As ALMA is an international project where the staff members’ nationalities vary, some of them would surely have a lucky chance to celebrate their national team’s winning the championship.
