The 6th ALMA public lecture titled “The birth and death of the stars explored by ALMA” (hosted by NAOJ and Okayama University of Science, Academic Frontier) was held at Okayama University of Science. About 60 people attended the lecture including “Challenge to the dark universe: ALMA, gigantic radio telescope in the Andes” by Seiichi Sakamoto, “The birth of the stars” by Yasuo Fukui (Nagoya U.), and “Star activity and optical observation” by Kenji Tanabe (Okayama University of Science).
