The 8th ALMA Public Lecture titled We were born from stardust EALMA, a gigantic radiotelescope to explore the mysteries of the universeEwas held at Fukuoka Science Museum. Ryosuke Miyawaki, Professor of Fukuoka University of Education gave an introduction of the ALMA project, followed by the planetarium movie Birth Day EAnd we were bornEand the documentary of the ALMA construction, and a lecture about the birth of galaxies and stars by Ryohei Kawabe, Professor of ALMA-J Project Office. The picture shows a long line of visitors to join the public lecture. The event attracted near-capacity crowd of about 220 people.
