On March 26 and 27, the ALMA Board Meeting was held at the National Institute of Informatics in Hitotsubashi, Tokyo. From Japan, Shoken Miyama (Director General of NAOJ), Masato Ishiguro (ALMA-J Project Director), and Tetsuo Hasegawa (ALMA-J Project Manager) attended the board and engaged in active discussions on the progress of the construction of ALMA and its operations plan. In the dinner party after the meeting, Massimo Tarenghi (Director of the Joint ALMA Office) expressed his appreciation to Seiichi Sakamoto (Associate Professor) who was transferring to the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) as Professor at the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science (ISAS) for his effort to the ALMA project.
