ALMA Booth at the Japan Geoscience Union Meeting 2015

The NAOJ Chile observatory exhibited the ALMA booth at the Japan Geoscience Union Meeting 2015, which was held at the international exhibition hall of Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, from May 24 through 28.

This meeting is a large-scale international scientific forum where researchers and students concerned with geoscience and planetary science gather from all over the world and engage in intellectual discussions between different fields of study. To make the ALMA telescope and its observation data widely accessible not only to astronomers but also to planetary scientists, ALMA staff answered questions from the visitors and gave explanations at the booth. Many people were fascinated by the latest scientific results achieved with ALMA, expressing their further expectations for the future of ALMA.
