From September 18 through 19, the ALMA Head of Administration Meeting was held at NAOJ in Mitaka, Tokyo, jointly by the Joint ALMA Office (JAO) in Chile and the research institutes in Japan, North America, and Europe. The picture shows Massimo Tarenghi, ALMA Director (second right); Russel Smeback, JAO Head of Administration (far left); and European and North American heads of administration, receiving the explanation of the ACA Correlator from Sachiko Okumura Associate Professor (far right) during the laboratory tour after the meeting. At the end of the tour, the ALMA Director Tarenghi said to the NAOJ Director Miyama, “The progress of the Japanese project is remarkable. I would like to express my congratulations on your achievement.”
