People from various countries are working on the ALMA project to construct an international astronomical facility in the Atacama Desert in Northern Chile in cooperation among East Asia, Europe, and North America.
From June 21 through 23, the ALMA Management Integrated Product Team Meeting was held in the ALMA Building at the NAOJ Mitaka Campus.
The participants of the meeting included: top management personnel of the Joint ALMA Office (JAO) in Chile, Regional Project Managers of East Asia, Europe and North America, their deputies, and those engaged in the administration of ALMA. They gathered in Tokyo to discuss the schedule and management of the ALMA project face to face. The picture shows the participants during a discussion on the final day (June 23).
