ALMA Science Advisory Committee

From May 7 through 8, the ALMA Science Advisory Committee (ASAC) was held at the University of Tokyo, and attended by 10 Japanese representatives including four committee members; Kotaro Kono (Associate Professor at the University of Tokyo), Koichiro Morita (Associate Professor at NAOJ), Toru Yamada (Associate Professor at NAOJ), and Satoshi Yamamoto (Professor at the University of Tokyo), and Masato Ishiguro (ALMA-J Project Director), Tetsuo Hasegawa (ALMA-J Project Manager), and Ryohei Kawabe (Professor at NAOJ). In the meeting, they discussed one of the operation modes in which ACA and a 64-element array are operated in combination, as well as education and public outreach activities of ALMA, with European and North-American committee members.
