Recent highly-advanced astronomical telescopes, such as ALMA and SUBARU, are manufactured with state-of-the art technologies. BS JAPAN science program “CHIKYU ASUTEKU” introduces how these leading-edge technologies are developed and applied to modern astronomy. The program includes the introduction of the NAOJ Advanced Technology Center (ATC) where a part of the ALMA receiver components are manufactured.
