From November 20 through 22, ALMA Users Meeting 2012 was held at the NAOJ headquarters in Mitaka. The meeting is a forum to share information and promote exchanges among researchers who are interested in the research with ALMA and the NAOJ Chile Observatory.
At the meeting, there were presentations on the progress and achievements of the ALMA project, discussions for the future observations, and practical data analysis work using actual software. In the midst of globalization, most of the presentations and discussions were held in English for participants from Japan and other East Asian countries.
