At the OSF (Operations Support Facility) at 2900 m asl, foundation work has started for the construction of the Japanese and North American antennas. The picture shows local workers building reinforcing rods on the leveling concrete at the Japanese antenna assembly site. Even in the winter evening, workers have to work with towels around their neck to protect themselves from the strong ultraviolet radiation. You can see three other foundations under construction in the back of the Japanese antenna foundation.
