After finishing the observation and tests with the ACA antenna, I stepped outside and found the eastern sky beginning to dawn. And, after a short while, half moon appeared from gentle mountainside.Over the Licancabur volcano reflecting the moonlight, the Big Dipper (known as the Seven Stars of the Northern Dipper in Japan) is moving from east to west. Extending the edge of the dipper downward five times longer, it reaches the North Star, which is far below the horizon here in Chile. [Picture and texts provided by George Kosugi]
