There is a field of big cactus on the way to the AOS from the OSF. The tallest one seems to be about 6 to 7 meters high. I wonder how many years it took them to grow up so high because they grow only a few centimeters in a year.
Far away from the field of big cactus, there is one lofty cactus standing alone. It looks close, but actually it is located in the distance over the steep cliff.
After working at the OSF, we went hiking to see the attractive cactus. Going over the steep-sided valley, we finally got to the giant cactus. In the photo, you can see the OSF and a parabola antenna in the back [photos and texts: provided by George Kosugi].
