In December last year, one of the “i-CAN” constellation cameras was installed at the ALMA Operations Support Facility (OSF). After fixing some problems during transport, we have launched an English version web site of i-CAN to start its full-scale global operation including the installation site, Chile. The picture shows the second i-CAN camera installed on the rooftop of the ALMA OSF, which is called “Roberta”. This is named after Mr. Roberto Rivera who played the leading role in bringing i-CAN camera to the ALMA OSF. He died in a traffic accident in September 2005, leaving his wife and two-year-old daughter. We hope his dream will be shared with everyone watching the beautiful night sky he loved through i-CAN.
