Following the development of a paper model of the 12m Antenna for ALMA, a paper model of the ALMA antenna transporter has almost been completed. The paper model has some movable parts in its independent steering wheels and lifting mechanism for antenna loading. Furthermore, with an attachment, a paper antenna can be loaded onto the transporter. The picture shows the newly-developed paper transporter with independent steering wheels for minimizing the turning radius. With a model like this, you can easily understand how the antenna is loaded and moved by the transporter. However, it takes over 4 hours to construct a paper transporter even for an adult.
