This photo shows AIV (Assembly, Integration, and Verification) Team members playing soccer after Sunday lunch at an altitude of 2900 meters. In order to increase physical activities, local staff members working at highlands are exercising their bodies playing tennis, soccer, table tennis, running, etc.
Playing soccer at 3000 meters is especially hard due to thin air, and we couldn’t play more than 10 minutes when running full speed. However, we somehow got accustomed to the exercise at high altitudes, and became capable of playing a game for about one hour [photo provided by Octavio Hernandez, text written by Masato Ishiguro].
