From February 7 through 15, the first receiver was installed into the ACA antenna. To safely install the receiver weighing about 1 ton, we had to make a deliberate planning and thorough preparation. Under the supervision of Hiroyuki Iwashita, the receiver was successfully installed together with local staff in Chile and AIV (Assembly, Integration, and Verification) staff. The photo shows the local staff in Chile and ALMA-J staff: (From left in the back row) Jose Pablo Puga, Brain Hoff, Hiroyuki Iwashita, Jorge Norambuena, (From left in the front row) Masahiko Tasaki, and Masahiro Sugimoto (ACA FE Leader) [photographed by Bungo Ikenoue].
