The Japan-Chile Association hosted a lecture titled ALMA Observatory in AtacamaEin Hibiya, downtown Tokyo, and the lecture hall was filled to near-capacity with about 80 people. In the lecture, Seiichi Sakamoto covered a wide range of topics, including the profession of astronomy, the universe explored by radio astronomy, Inca constellations and radio constellations, the goal and current status of ALMA, the consequence of the sensational exclusion of Pluto from the planets, and planets outside the solar system. Following the lecture, he answered questions from the audience in another room. The picture shows Sakamoto, introducing himself to the audience. He was little nervous in a suit, which he rarely wears, but as talkative as always.
