On October 24, NAOJ Mitaka Campus held its 2009 Open Campus (called “Mitaka Star and Universe Day” from this year). Even though it was unfortunately cloudy on the day, Open Campus 2008 attracted 3302 visitors. This year, the ALMA-J Project Office presented more enjoyable exhibitions on the theme of “Let’s feel ALMA!” such as full-scale indication of 7-m and 12-m antennas on the floor, and a photo booth called “We went to the ALMA site!” where visitors are photographed against the background of the ALMA site and they can get a photo sticker. The picture shows Yoshihiro Chikada, Professor at the ALMA-J Project Office, giving a mini-lecture on interferometry.
