The antiseismic reinforcement of the North Building in NAOJ Mitaka Campus has completed. During the construction, some members of the ALMA-J Project Office had to use the prefabricated building as their office, but they finally could return to their reformed office. The picture shows the new North Building seen from the front entrance of Mitaka Campus. By one account, there is a plan to plant trees on the rooftop of the building. Some people worry that the rooftop might be a breeding ground for mosquitoes since there are already many mosquitoes in Mitaka Campus which is surrounded by nature.
