The picture shows the ALMA Array Operations Site (AOS) at 5000 m asl on the night of September 4. Under the starry sky, the antennas are shining brightly reflecting the light of a waxing crescent moon. You can see the Southern Cross and the Milky Way at the right side of the photo, and the Small Magellanic Cloud at the upper left. These blurred celestial objects appear distinctly even in the moonlight at the ALMA site where the air is so clean.
