In Chile the winter solstice day is about to come. Although we are in winter, we can see stars known as the constellations in summerEin Japan. The picture shows the Scorpius that almost passed the zenith at about 11:00 p.m.. This starry picture was taken by an ordinary digital camera set in the back street of a hotel in San Pedro with just 30-second exposure. You can also see a large number of stars with the constellation camera i-CANEat the ALMA Operations Support Facility. Among these stars, you may be able to identify a red star in the upper part of the picture. This is Antares, the brightest star in Scorpius, and the tail of the Scorpius lays across the Milky Way, which is surrounded by the dark nebula like a silhouette in the lower part of the picture. The dark nebula is one of the astronomical objects explored by ALMA.
