At the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan in Mitaka, “UN/ESA/NASA Workshop on Basic Space Science and the International Heliophysical Year 2007”, an international joint conference by UN, ESA and NASA, is being held from June 18 through 22. Representatives from developed and developing countries are having active discussions to promote research and education on astronomy and space science in developing countries.
