In Commemoration of ALMA's 10th Anniversary, Young Astronomers Visit the ALMA Site

ALMA is celebrating 10 years of full-scale operation in 2023. In December 2023, an international conference was held in Puerto Varas, Chile, to take a look back at the observatory’s accomplishments, highlight its latest results, and look forward to future technical developments. To coincide with this international conference, the NAOJ ALMA Project selected five young astronomers who have achieved outstanding scientific results using ALMA to commemorate the 10th anniversary.

From December 4 to 8, the young astronomers participated in the international conference to present their research results and interact with astronomers from various countries.
