Paper Antenna carried by Paper Transporter

These paper Japanese 12-m antenna and transporter were made for the explanation of the ALMA Array Operations Site (5000 m asl) at the diorama exhibition corner on the day of the Mitaka Open House Day 2011 on October 22.

These paper models were finished in 2 days by Secretaries of the ALMA-J Project Office while doing their busy office work. They created enlarged paper antennas and transporters by printing out A4-size templates on Paper Models on A3 papers.

Actual two transporters working at the ALMA site in Chile are called “Otto” and “Lore” respectively. Like the real ones, two paper transporters have their name plates on the front.
