There are many cherry trees in the NAOJ Mitaka campus in Tokyo. As the ALMA building is surrounded by tall cherry trees on three sides (north, south, and west), we can have a wonderful view from the window of our project room on the 3rd floor in this peak bloom period. They have grown over the decades, and show us such beautiful blossoms every spring. Viewing these cherry trees, we feel tranquility and at the same time the power to stay alive. The picture shows the ALMA building and cherry trees seen from southwest. [Picture and texts provided by Tomomi Sato (NAOJ)]
