An international research meeting titled “Workshop on Submillimeter Astronomy and Receiver Technologies” was held at Purple Mountain Observatory in Nanjing, China. About 50 researchers mainly from East Asia (including 20 from Japan) participated in the workshop and discussed the issues of scientific research and technologies related to ALMA.
