From July 9 through 11, an internal user test of CASA (Common Astronomical Software Applications) was conducted in the headquarters of European Southern Observatory (ESO) in Germany. CASA is the data reduction software which is currently under development for ALMA. The test was attended by 12 astronomers from European and East Asian countries, including Daisuke Iono (Research Expert) from Japan. In this event, a software developer from the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) gave instructions on how to use CASA, and the participants discussed the problems and items requiring improvement. This picture was taken during the teleconference with Chile on the final day.
