The 10th ALMA Public Lecture titled The universe explored by ALMA, a gigantic radio telescope in the AndesEwas held in the Matsumoto-shi Ekimae Kaikan and about 30 people attended. The program consisted of two lectures: The universe unveiled by radio waves – ALMA, a gigantic radio telescope in the AndesEby Masato Ishiguro, Director of ALMA-J Project Office; and The birth of the macrocosm – the origin of the universe explored by ALMAEby Yasuo Fukui, Professor at Nagoya University. The picture shows Professor Fukui, explaining the history of the universe with gestures. The event was an enjoyable one with an autograph session by the lecturers.
