We find hardly any animals in the daytime at the Operations Support Facility (OSF) of ALMA which extends over the area of about 1 km2 in the midst of deserts at 2900 m asl. But, in the nighttime, we sometimes hear a little sound from the shadows. The picture shows a family of mice found at the foot of the stairs outside the office container in the midnight. He was scared stiff with a flare of flashlight. ALMA is being constructed in consideration of the surrounding environment to protect the habitat of these little neighbors.
