The first ACA 7-m Antenna, shipped from the Port of Kobe on September 20, safely arrived in Chile after a one-month journey. According to a crew, the sea was calm and they had a smooth sailing. The ship entered the port at 8 o’clock in the morning and all the cargoes were loaded on trucks before 6:30 p.m. The antenna will be transported to the ALMA Operations Support Facility (OSF) in several days. The picture shows the antenna base being unloaded from the ship with a shipboard crane.
