The Astronomical Society of Japan (ASJ) held its 2007 Spring Meeting at Tokai University, Hiratsuka Campus from March 28 through 30. In the afternoon of the first day, ALMA Special Session titled “From Preparation of Proposal to Acquisition of Observation Data” was held. The picture shows Tony Beasley (ALMA Project Manager) giving the progress of the ALMA project. The session was filled with capacity crowed and some people had to stand. This shows the high level of interest of the astronomy community in the operations of ALMA.
