“Astro-Karuta (Karuta is a Japanese card game)” is one of the educational materials prepared by a project team “Astronomy and Planetarium (abbreviated to “TEMPURA” in Japanese)”, which was organized by graduate students at the University of Tokyo for the promotion of Astronomy in the general public. This astronomy-themed Karuta was made in cooperation with a number of researchers and research institutes, and distributed for free in Nihombashi, Tokyo during the 48th Science and Technology Week from April 16 to 22. The picture shows an ALMA-themed card saying “ALMA is a new window in the Andes”. You can download the Astro-Carta from the website of TEMPURA (www.tenpla.net).
