A paper craft of the 12 m antenna for the Atacama Compact Array (ACA) of ALMA is under development, and its first prototype has been completed. The picture shows the prototype (right) displayed on the reception desk in the Joint ALMA Office in Santiago, Chile. You will find that it is larger than the 10m antenna for the Atacama Submillimeter Telescope Experiment (ASTE) of the same scale (left). After minor design modification, the paper craft kit will be distributed to the participants of the 12th ALMA public lecture, The Universe Explored by the Gigantic Radio Telescope in the AndesEto be held at the Osaka Science Museum on November 18.
