On a cold day,
wild donkeys
came to the ALMA staff’s accommodation facility at the Operations Support Facility (OSF) at 2900 m asl. Usually they are living at around 3100 m asl
where many cactuses are growing .
Perhaps they might have descended from their habitat for warmth since it has been very cold these days due to
Altiplanic Winter , which brings occasional snow at high altitudes [Photographed by Teruomi Tsuno (NAOJ) ]
