The open campus event titled “A Day of Stars and the Universe” was held at Mitaka Campus of the National Astronomy Observatory of Japan on Oct. 22 and 23. The two-day event started with star observations using the instruments in the Campus, and on the sunny second day, the event attracted as many as 3,234 visitors. The picture was taken at a lobby of the ALMA Building where visitors enjoyed a diorama of the planned construction site of ALMA, posters with explanations about the ALMA antennas, and a documentary film of the ALAM construction.
