About 1700 people visited Mitaka campus on the special open day. At the ALMA booth, we presented a demonstration of remote control of the 45 cm telescope located at University of Chile, virtual tour to the ALMA site, and poster display. The picture shows Ken’ichi Tatematsu explaining the image of the astronomical object in the southern sky to the audience. The image was sent in real time from Chile taking advantage of 12-hour time difference.
