Wonder Planetarium Looking at the Southern Sky EStars Presented by the Constellation Camera i-CAN and ALMA ProjectEwas held at Kumamoto City Museum. The program of the event includes: introduction of stars in Kumamoto Prefecture and in Chile by Hideo Hara (Kumamoto City Museum) and Kaoru Kimura (Science Museum); demonstration of a constellation camera in Chile by Takehiko Sato (Kumamoto University); and a lecture given by Seiichi Sakamoto (ALMA-J Project Office). Following the session, exhibition of Chilean products was mounted at the entrance hall, with a sampling corner of typical Chilean sweets, Manjar (caramelized condensed milk)E For around 60 participants, the event became an enjoyable one with such a variety of presentations. The picture shows Seiichi Sakamoto giving a lecture in the planetarium, still having difficulty giving an explanation while pointing images on the overhead dome.
